Community Participation
Education takes place not only in schools but also within families, communities, and society. Despite the various degrees of responsibilities taken by each group, none can be the sole agent to take 100 percent responsibility for educating children. Community participation in education is crucial for children’s holistic development and the education system’s overall improvement. When schools involve different community members, it benefits the school and the community as a whole. It builds a sense of shared responsibility and ownership towards children’s education, leading to better outcomes and improved student performance.
